Controlled Substance a 10 minute play written by Patrina Randolph was selected for the 2020 Fade to Black Play Festival due to the pandemic the festival was delayed until 2021, filmed and streamed online.  Controlled Substance was directed by Donna Stewart.

The UH School of Theatre and Dance proudly presented  the world premiere of "The Carrier"  written by senior playwright Patrina Randolph and directed by Laura Moreno on November 20-22, 2020

 

“The Carrier” is a full length stage play. A post office in Houston's Third Ward, 2020. Supervisor M. Bell’s recent promotion threatens to drive a wedge between her and her postal carrier friends and subordinates, CCA Wendy Reed and CCA Murdock. Tensions explode when packages begin to come up missing and a Postal Inspector starts an investigation. The once airtight work family begins to buckle under the pressures of self-preservation and the struggles of their lives outside the workplace. This is a provocative and timely new play by UH Senior playwright, Patrina Randolph, about the value of relationships and the riveting effects of betrayal.
